Drainage, Hydrology & Floodplain Engineering
Water-resources expertise from watershed to site.
Perales Engineering is led by Jerry Perales, P.E., whose water-resources experience spans decades of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, watershed analysis, floodplain mapping, and development drainage engineering.
Jerry's professional experience includes floodplain modeling and mapping for major Austin watersheds, including Fort Branch and Tannehill Branch; Water Availability Modeling involving the Brazos and Colorado River systems; and large-scale floodplain studies supporting major mission-critical and data-center developments in Texas and New Mexico.
More recently, while serving in a leadership role with a previous engineering firm, Jerry personally performed and/or led complex floodplain studies for very large development sites, including FEMA-related floodplain analysis and mapping. These projects represent Jerry's individual professional experience and are not presented as projects performed by Perales Engineering.
Jerry's hydrologic modeling background reaches back to early GIS-based watershed-modeling research at The University of Texas at Austin, where he developed ArcView-based preprocessing tools for converting watershed and soils information into hydrologic model inputs.
Projects referenced under prior-firm experience represent Jerry Perales's individual professional experience and are not presented as projects performed by Perales Engineering LLC.
